Hello, there! I’m Mchi!
an actual mermaid-panda disguising themselves as a functioning adult.
If it isn’t obvious by now, I’m Mchi—or rather, Yasuhiro Mochizuki. And before you ask: No, that’s not my birth name. Yes, it’s a nom de plume. No, I’m not trying to fake my identity. In fact, it’s rather easy to gather my birth name if you really looked and knew how to do so. The fact of the matter is, people rarely, if ever, call me by my birth name including my mum. Those who do are not close to me in the slightest. Basically, what I’m saying is call me Yasuhiro, Mchi or some form of my nom de plume because it’s weird otherwise.
Now, that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s talk some more about me. (I sound ridiculously confident and suave here, but I assure this shite is real hard for me.)
Currently, I’m ridiculously close to my 24th birthday and that is absolutely mental for me to gather. I’m just a year shy of my mid-20s. It’s baffling, innit? But I digress. Aside from being a 20-something year old that has the occasional freakouts about getting closer to dying while simultaneously being excited to grow a year older, I’m currently attending university to get my Bachelor’s in Information Technology (concentrating on Web Design & Development) and work full-time in advertising. I reside in the Midwestern area of America and have plans to study abroad within the next year or so and save up to move overseas within the next couple years.
Despite popular belief and how I appear here on the net, I a huge introvert with a massive amount of discomfort when chatting about myself unless I’m either in the mindset to or feel comfortable enough to let down my guard. That said, I absolutely adore listening to people speak, people watching and giving out as many compliments as I can to random people and seeing them smile. If I’m not a coffee shop or in bed, I’m probably in another coffee shop or a good mate’s bed.
Yooo! If you didn’t already know, I’m an addict for tea & coffee (the former more than the latter, but you get it) and it’s probably why I’m a member of Teacup Club
. Speaking of dope communities I’m a part of—and I know you can see those badges in the sidebar—I’m a part of A Film Club
, The Romantic Gals Society
and Bloggers Tribe
. I’m a shameless promoter of things I love, so I’m even sorry about this. Let’s swiftly move on and pretend it didn’t happen, though...even if you should totally be checking out these communities.
Aside being addicted to the warm delights of tea and coffee, I’m obsessively addicted to black eyeliners, matte lip colours, red lipsticks, all things indie, and Young Adult novels. If you follow me on Twitter
, then you know my addiction for YA novels the most out of all my addictions. I assure you, it’s no joke. I’m desperate in love them for whatever reason. I, also, happen to really enjoy analysing things and do it consistently in my free time.
It’s weird to be chatting so much about myself, so I’m going to end it here. If it hasn’t been mentioned already, then it probably will be mentioned in a post, has been mentioned in a post or can be asked and answered willingly. In the meantime, read about the blog here
